If the controller box clicks with the main harness connected, but not when the light harness is connected, you are most likely using the Parking Light plug rather than the Headlight harness plug. When this happens the box will click w/o the lights connected and will suffer an internal short when the parking light harness is plugged into it. The best thing to do is this: 1. Plug the original wiring back in. 2. Make sure the headlights on both sides are working. 3. Turn off the lights and unplug the headlight harnesses. 4. Turn on the lights - all of the headlights should stay off. 5. Turn off the lights. 6. Plug the box with 1 male pin into the driver's side main harness. 7. Turn the lights on & off, Low & High - you should hear the relays clicking. 8. Plug the power feed into the box. 9. Plug the harness from the headlights into the controller plug with two male pins. 10. Turn the lights on & off, Low & High - you should have headlights on the driver's side only. Installing the Passenger's side: HRKF & HRKI: 1. Repeat steps 5 - 10 above, substituting 'passenger's side' for 'driver's side'. 2. If one side works and one does not, switch the boxes. If the problem moves with the box the box is bad. HRKM: 1. Turn off the lights. 2. Plug the crossover cable connector with two bare male pins into the passenger side HEADLIGHT HARNESS. 3. Route the crossover cable to the driver's side. 4. Plug the three pin single bare male connector (wireless) plug into the open plug on the main harness that the headlight harness came out of. 5. Plug the crossover wire from the passenger side headlight harness into the remaining controller plug with two bare male pins. 6. Turn the lights on & off, Low & High - you should have all four headlights.
